Within Mitutoyo’s range of vision equipment, non-contact measurements can be performed using techniques ranging from shadow casting to magnified image-based measurement, all integrated with versatile software that enables the generation of detailed inspection reports.
Optical comparators are equipment to perform non-contact measurements in a very basic way, since the measurements are generated through light and shadow, which means this equipment generates the measurement of the edges of the pieces projected through light and magnified through lenses. It can be a very versatile piece of equipment since data processing (QM Data) can be implemented in some models, which allows us to generate multiple functions, such as heights, thicknesses, measuring a circle, the distance between centers, or simply making measurements with X, Y axis counters.
